April update
Fixed my issue with alarm notifications and appreciate the other improvements made with the April release. Thanks.
In most office I'm 100% in agreement with the previous review most the new Feb 2019 update. However, in one case I changed(Reorder) the dwelling house page, I practice not have the issue with my home page resetting back to the default afterwards I close the app & then reopen it on my iOS device. And who uses the term "Reorder" to to identify the procedure to rearrange, edit or manage the home screen? I originally thought it was for reordering of more than devices. I do agree there is also much wasted space and would prefer the information beingness a little more condensed vs. having to scroll down the page. And, I also agree with the alerts/alarms. I've checked my settings numerous times, but if my iPhone is locked or if I exercise non accept the App open, I exercise non receive /hear any notification from the App of a sensor being tripped. Notification tin can be resolved with IFTTT but would call back the App itself would be able to provide that notification. I would the ability to remove a room from the domicile page, but take yet to detect a manner to practice so. I do appreciate the improvements that Samsung made in an try to improve the App and suspect there is a learning curve on my part, but I would like the user to have the adequacy/flexibility to manage their home screen the style the user wants it vs how Samsung thinks it should be.

Working improve
Much amend but I am having issues with some app integrations. like smart life and Meross.
Update (viii/ane/20): Emailed and likewise chosen and spoke with someone at SmartThings to try to solve my issue with the device integrations. SmartThings client service were very piece of cake to contact and where very kind and helpful. They tried to assistance every bit best as they could but it appears that not many Smart Life app devices are currently compatible. Hopefully this volition modify in the near time to come. Meross said and SmartThings confirmed that they are working to amend their integrations in the coming weeks so hopefully my issue of not being able to turn on device in SmartThings volition be resolved soon. Tp Link Kasa app and Bail app integrations with those devices are working swell! And so, in brusk I believe SmartThings developers are working difficult to amend the app integrations and experience which I really appreciate. They have also been very responsive and piece of cake to contact for help. I just received a reply to this review as well which is besides why I am adding a star to my review. I will add the fifth star in one case I am able to fully integrate my smart dwelling in the SmartThings app! Poor Pattern New Update
The new update takes what was a very nice, clean and sophisticated looking design and makes information technology look amateurish. The cards or widgets or whatever they phone call them are now crammed with the room name, the device name, an icon, an on-off switch and other information. The result is a lot of truncated words and a confusing array which makes information technology very hard to quickly spot a device you might want to access. The cards on the favorites tab (which replaces the quondam home page) can exist moved around. But they can no longer be organized by room and then they are just a bunch of cards lined up in horizontal rows. Unless you go to devices, it'due south difficult to encounter all the devices in a single room. But in that devices tab y'all have to scroll through a separate folio for each room to discover the devices. Those rooms used to be all listed together on one folio on the home screen with the devices listed nether the heading. AND you lot could also get to a room page. On that rooms page all the rooms were listed on the one folio (showing the number of devices in that room) with each room being a button that you could press to go to that room. Now it'due south but scroll folio by page. To me this is a big step backwards. I really wish I could undo the update I made on my iPad. But at least I did not update my iPhon once I saw the design of the updated app. So I'll agree off on any iPhone update until they hopefully gear up some of this bad design - but I'm non holding my breath.
